Begin your day descending through the Judean Wilderness and along the shores of the Dead Sea to Massada.
Ascend by cable car to view the excavations of the Herodian Palace, storerooms, bathhouse and waterworks.
Continue your Dead Sea adventure with a visit to Ein Gedi, the oasis of the Judean desert. Take a short hike to the waterfalls.
Enjoy the unique sensation of a "float" in the unsinkable Dead Sea. On the way back to Jerusalem, pass the caves of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.

Drive to Ein Karem to view Chagall's famous stained glass windows at the synagogue of the Hadassah Hospital.
Visit the Menorah, symbol of Israel located next to the Knesset. On to the Israel Museum; visit the Shrine of the Book, housing the Dead Sea Scrolls, and stroll through the magnificent Billy Rose Sculpture Garden. Visit the Scale Model of Jerusalem in its new location and see the replica of Jerusalem during the 2nd Temple period.
On to Mount Herzel, Israel's military cemetery, to pay respects at the tomb of Yitzhak Rabin.
Drive through the Ayalon Valley to Latrun, the famous Independence War staging area; tour its Armour Corps Museum.
Overnight in Jerusalem.
Depart Jerusalem and drive to Caesarea. Explore the Roman Theatre and Aqueduct. Proceed to Haifa; ascent Mount Carmel; appreciate the spectacular view of the coastline and the magnificent terraced gardens at the Baha’i Center.
Visit the Druze Village of Ussifiya – time to learn about these unique Israeli citizens – lunch included. Drive along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea to Acre, a former Crusader stronghold. Roam through the remains including the Knights’ Center and Dining Hall. End the day with a visit to Rosh Hanikra for a cable car ride to the beautiful grottos.
This morning you'll explore the geo-politically vital Golan Heights by jeep! Continue by motorcoach to Mt. Bental for an observation over the city of Kuneitra, the capital of the Golan and Upper Galilee. While in the Golan Heights we will also visit "Oz 77" at Kibbutz Elrom, where you'll learn the history of the Golan Heights. Visit one of Israel's famous wineries where you will have the opportunity for wine tasting. End the day with a tour and lecture about life in the Kibbutz. Learn an Israeli folk dance. On to Safed, home of the Kabbala. This charming town, filled with cobblestone streets, lined with ancient synagogues and artist galleries, offers breathtaking views of the entire Galilee. Continue on to Zippori to see its large excavations of a prosperous city of the Roman period. In Tel Aviv visit the famous Carmel market and Nachalat Binyamin, the arts and crafts market. End your touring day. Shabbat dinner at the Hotel. Overnight: Tel Aviv. |
